Al Lizotte grew up in the Worcester, MA, area and graduated from Doherty High School. His educational background is in architecture, engineering and solar engineering. In 1988, Al founded a design and construction company specializing in high-end kitchen and bathroom renovation projects and home additions. Westborough Design Center, Inc., has become a family-run business and is a $4 million leading renovation firm in Central Massachusetts. Al holds a Massachusetts builders license, an MA Home Improvement Contractor’s license, and an MA Lead Abatement License.
For 12 years, Al owned and operated Adventures, Ltd, a hunting and fishing organization covering trips to British Columbia and Northern Canada, South Africa, Scotland, Montana, New Mexico, and Idaho. For some time now, Al has wanted to find a way to honor those who have served our country, and he wanted to do this by sharing his passion for trophy fishing. Al established Fishing With Warriors in 2016, a non-profit organization that sends Veterans on fishing trips to Costa Rica, Alaska, Cabos San Lucas, Belize, and Venice, Louisiana.
Al has been married to his wife, Judy, for 53 years. They have four children and six grandchildren. Al enjoys spending time in Florida during the cold Northeast winter months. He holds a pilot’s license and loves hunting, fishing, playing golf, and spending time with his grandchildren. Al was a sergeant in the Army National Guard 181st Combat Engineers from 1966 to 1972. Al’s been to Fairways for Freedom trip twice, having participated in the 2017 Northwest Ireland trip.

7th ARMY Command Band ‐ Entertained Troops in areas that were too dangerous for the USO in Southeast ASIA
CBN (Chemical, Biological & Nuclear) NCO for Unit
Paul was drafted into the US ARMY in 1968 and attended Basic Training in Fort Gordon, GA. Once Basic was completed, Paul attended AIT and then Sniper Training. He joined the FT Gordon Base Band and served there until 1969, when he was assigned to the 7th ARMY Command Band based in Ft Shafter Oahu, Hawaii. They were deployed to Vietnam and Thailand several times from 1969 to 1970. The band was deployed to places that were too dangerous for the USO. While deployed, he was responsible for maintaining perimeter security for the unit.
He was assigned to be the CBR NCO at Ft. Shafter, Hawaii, and had to maintain inventory and safety equipment.
Once he separated from the ARMY, he attended CCNY, New York Institute of Technology, NYU, Bentley College, North Eastern University, and Harvard. He attained an Electrical Engineering Degree, a Mechanical Engineering Degree, a Software Engineering Degree, and advanced Studies at Harvard. He taught Graduate Software Engineering courses at Harvard and State of the Art at Northern.
He has run an IT Support Business in Westborough for the past 38 years after working in the computer business since 1966.
Paul was married to his wife for 50 years until he lost her in 2018; they have 2 sons, and 2 grandsons.

Dan Darroch is a Veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a Combat Medic. He retired after 21 years of active duty as First Sergeant from the 10th Mountain Division Light Infantry at Ft. Drum, NY. Dan has participated in multiple combat tours, including Afghanistan (OEF), Iraq (OIF), and Desert Storm. He received the Bronze Star for his actions in Afghanistan.
He works in Research & Development at the VA Hospital in Boston, MA. Dan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and a Master’s in Management. Dan resides in Massachusetts with his wife, Yasmin, a schoolteacher. He has two daughters, Doria, who attends college in Rochester, NY, and Mia, who attends UMass Amherst.
